‘hello’

The film ‘hello’ uses the symbolic measure of string as a representation for the connective elements of communication, mirrored in the film medium itself, as a kind of string of images. The meaning is also inspired by Donald Winnicott’s theory’s of play and object relations as he observes children often play with string when they are dealing with a loss, or seeking re-connection. The string attaches to a figurative wire sculpture and seeks to link the two kinds of threads—
